A week from now we’ll be settling in for the night here at Oostanaula House. Our storytellers will have had their first day of storytelling in schools and resting up to get back out there tomorrow morning. By that time, I hope I have my ducks in a row and can just enjoy my chauffeuring. What a treat to watch these storytelling masters in the schools. Andy and Bil each can hold the rambunctious elementary kids enthralled with their tales.
Andy’s crowd management is nothing short of mouth-dropping. He draws them in with his guitar and funny/weird/amazing sounds. Then mesmerizes them with the stories and songs.
Bil’s stories keep them stretching their backs and necks toward him from their “criss-cross applesauce” seats on the gym or library floor as they imagine Buck Dog or Skeeter or Wally’s antics.
